Mary Joyce Schiebel

Mary Joyce (Hilderbrand) Schiebel, 73, of Natrona Heights, passed away on Friday May 6, 2022. She was born January 24, 1949, in Butler to the late Andrew and Claire (Neigh) Hilderbrand. Joyce was a 1968 graduate of Butler High School, a 1970 graduate of the St. Francis School of Nursing and received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from LaRoche College. She retired in 2015 from Allegheny Valley Hospital where she worked as a nursing supervisor. Joyce was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church and the Guardian Angels Parish Ladies of Charity. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and organizing Broadway trips to Toronto, Pittsburgh and New York City. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially attending her grandchildren's activities and sporting events. Joyce is survived by her husband of 51 years, Wayne R. Schiebel; children, Craig (Jennifer) Schiebel, of Allegheny Township and Dana (Michael) Thimons, of Slippery Rock; grandchildren, Abigail and Jacob Schiebel and Ella and Charlie Thimons and by her sister, Carol (Steve) Geibel, of Butler.


Friends will be received on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 Noon in Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
