Milton W. 'Pete' Sharp, 89, of Leechburg, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh with his family at his side. He was born May 1, 1929, in Leechburg to the late Joseph H. and Mary C. McFarland Sharp. Pete was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He retired in 1994 after 47 years of service as a motormen at the West Leechburg works of Allegheny Ludlum Steel. Pete was a member of the Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church in Leechburg, the Masonic Lodge in Leechburg and was a social member of the Sokol Lodge, Leechburg. He was a volunteer at the Recycling Center and Food Bank both in Leechburg for over 25 years. Pete enjoyed going to the farm, gardening and cutting his grass. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Amelia Mazak Sharp; three sons, Peter Sharp (Corinne Hill), of Washington Township, Patrick (Barb) Sharp, of East Vandergrift and Joseph (Melissa) Sharp, of Wexford; his four grandchildren, Nathan, Megan, Drew and Jackson Sharp and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Wilson, Connie Eshelman Quarato and Emily Donaldson.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 1-3, 6-8 PM in the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 300 Market Street. Leechburg. Funeral ceremonies will be held on Monday at 11 AM in the Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church with his pastor the Rev. Gary Lyon, officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery, Gilpin Township. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Pete may be made to the Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, 271 Main Street, Leechburg, Pa. 15656.
