Mona Jean (Falleroni) Smith, 73, of Buffalo Twp., died suddenly and unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Mona Jean was born in Natrona Heights on December 5, 1950 to Mark and Rose (Dominick) Falleroni. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Natrona class of 1968. She worked in the dietary department of various nursing homes in her earlier years. On September 25, 1971 she married Raymond Smith. The couple had just celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. Mona Jean's faith and family meant everything to her. She was a devout catholic, and people saw her faith in her, in the way she lived her life. Her pride was her family. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Erik, of New Kensington; daughter Erin (Sean) Smith of Buffalo Twp.; grand daughter Briana (Jacob) Schramm, of Natrona Heights; grandsons Damon (Kristina) Smith of Charleston , S.C., and Nathan (Kelsey) Smith of Brackenridge, brother Mark (Malena) Falleroni of Hendersonville, S.C. Also surviving are her pride and joy great grandsons Grady Smith and Malcolm Schramm. Her extended family includes Simone Smith (Simon Weigh) of New York City. Mona Jean also leaves behind several nieces and nephews


Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with her pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Burial will be in Sarverville Cemetery, Buffalo Township.
