Nelle (Dubeck) Basnak

Nelle (Dubeck) Basnak, 96, of Tarentum, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Platinum Ridge, Brackenridge. She was born March 7, 1921, in Brackenridge to the late Paul and Sophia Dreek Dubeck. Nelle retired as a sales clerk from the former G.C. Murphy Store in Natrona Heights after 28 years of service. She was a member of Holy Martyrs R.C. Church in Tarentum Central Presbyterian Church quilting group and the Highlands Senior Center, Tarentum. Nelle enjoyed quilting and playing cards. She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Conger, of Gibsonia, Ellen Knee, of Tarentum and Kathie (Donald) Hillery, of Lower Burrell; grandchildren, Christianne (Eric) McCall and Jarrod Hillery and her great grandchildren, Dylan and Zoey Hawk and Lillian McCall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Basnak, brothers, Nick and Joseph Dubeck; sisters, Vera Janosik, Sally Beringer and Helen Wolfe and by her son-in-law, Keith Knee.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of a blessing service at 10 AM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Officiating will be the Rev. Aaron Kriss. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
