Patricia A. Ameel

July 17, 1928 — April 16, 2022

Our loving mother, Patricia Ann (Pastrick) Ameel, peacefully passed over to be with her Lord
and Savior on this holiest of Saturdays, April 16, 2022, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 17, 1928, in Natrona, the daughter of the late Stephen C. and Victoria (Bloch)
Pastrick. She was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, St. Ladislaus Church.
Patricia was quick witted, had the best sense of humor, and was the life of every party.
She enjoyed being with her large family more than anything and was a great mother to her five
children. Patricia was the apple of her husband Raymond’s eye for a blessed 67 years.
Patricia enjoyed watering her herbs and flowers that always adorned her beautiful porch in the
summer months. Her home was truly her castle and she enjoyed entertaining through the
years hosting all the Christmas and Easter gatherings and everything in between. She always
looked forward to a trip to the store to shop and see what was new and would always
remember to bring home something sweet for her husband and kids. The candy bowls on the
end tables were never empty.
In her younger days, she was active as a den mother, a special education teacher aid, and a
committee woman. Patricia was active in her prayer group as well as the local food bank, the
Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and enjoyed organizing her class reunions for St. Joseph’s High
School class of 1947.

Patricia is survived by her husband Raymond Ameel, her children William L. Schoen (Shirley),
Patricia A. (Schoen) Marshall, Victoria L. Ameel-Kovacs (Michael), Raymond A. Ameel (Susan),
and Michael E. Ameel (Susan).
Grandchildren Michael Schoen, Douglas Schoen (Christy), Kaitlyn Schoen, Kristin Gornek (Ken),
Melissa Marshall (Ed Marx), Anthony Ameel-Kovacs, Adam Ameel (Cassy), and Brandon Kelm.
Great grandchildren Cooper Schoen, Leia Schoen, and Bella Kelm.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law Gary Marshall.
Family was received in Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home and attended a Mass of Christian Burial at
St. Ladislaus Church. Private burial followed at Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia’s name may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de
Paul Council of Pittsburgh.
