Paulette (Trettel) Sloan, 73, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Vincentian Schenley Gardens, Pittsburgh. She was born August 17, 1950, in Natrona Heights to the late Samuel and Bruna (Casalini) Trettel. Paulette was a 1968 graduate of Freeport High School. She worked for many years for Macy's Department Store, finishing her career in their Human Resources Department. Paulette was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Natrona Heights Campus, and the Junior Women's Club. She also volunteered at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Tri City Life and the Alle Kiski Hope Center. Paulette enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She is survived by her daughters, Loren (Matthew) Kurpiewski, of Pittsburgh and Melissa (Bryan Easter) Sloan, of Sarasota, Florida, grandchildren, Sloan, Cleo, Ana, Eli and Gia, brothers, Samuel (Mary Anne) Trettel, of Tarentum and Anthony (Victoria) Trettel, of Freeport and by her sisters, Patricia (Robert) McGuire, of Sarver and Suzanne (Gary) Shank, of Lower Burrell. In addition to her parents, Paulette was preceded in death by her husband, Tomas W. Sloan on December 25, 2021.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of a blessing service at 12 noon in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Private burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
