Raymond E. Drane, Jr.

Raymond E. Drane Jr., 80, of Brackenridge, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove. Harrisville. He was born February 3, 1936, in Natrona, a son of the late Raymond E. and Hazel E. Smith Drane Sr. Raymond retired after 45 years of service as the Superintendent of the press room for the Valley News Dispatch in Tarentum. He was of the Lutheran faith. Raymond enjoyed bowling, golfing, and fishing. He also was a little league coach for 10 years with the Natrona Heights Little League, where he coached his sons. Raymond is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Musin Drane; his children, Susan (Victor) Tomsko, of Manassas, Va., Deborah (Joseph) Mangini, of Slate Lick, Pamela (James) Yaconis, of Natrona Heights, R. John (Marla) Drane, of Sarver and Jeffrey Drane, of Brackenridge; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and by his brothers, Jerry G. (Joyce) Drane, of Natrona Heights and Donald L. Drane, of Allegheny Township.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:30 AM.
