Richard P. "Dick" Becker, 65, of South Buffalo Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday,
March 18, 2023 in UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born April 12, 1957, in
Newton, MA., a son of the late William and Patricia (McAvoy) Becker. Dick worked as a
carpenter for over 40 years for Pakulski Contracting. He was a member of St. Mary, Mother of
God Church in Freeport and the Freeport Eagles. Dick was an avid golfer and Pittsburgh sports
fan and enjoyed spending time with his family, and friends. He was a bright soul that could get
along with anybody, and would help everyone. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Charlene
(Teklinski) Becker, his sons, Dylan (Donna) Becker, of Denham Spring, LA., and Kane Becker,
of South Buffalo Township and by his siblings, Robert Becker, of Natrona Heights, Barbara
(John) Lavacca, of State College and Michele (John) Vogel, of Houston, Tx. In addition to his
parents, Dick was preceded in death by his brother, William Becker and by his sister, Laura
Becker.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary, Mother of God Church, with his pastor the Rev, Msgr. Gilbert C. Gente as celebrant. Burial will be private. The family invites those attending to join them following the mass for a luncheon in St. Mary Church hall.
