Rita N. (Reczynski) Skok

Rita N. (Reczynski) Skok, 88, of Frazer Township, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 in Life Care Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born August 6, 1928, in Natrona to the late Francis and Nellie Russell Reczynski. Rita was a 1946 graduate of St. Joseph High School, Natrona. She was a member of Holy Martyrs R. C. Church in Tarentum, and a member of the Ladies Guild and Christian Mothers at the former St. Clement R.C. Church. Rita asked that we share, in her own words, 'I like to write poetry, sing, take long walks, pray the rosary every chance I get, and send cards to those who need cheering up'. She was also a warm and generous person to all who knew her and was devoted to her family and her faith. Rita also enjoyed working the election poles and serving her community. Rita is survived by her four children, Martin J. Skok, of Frazer Township, David Skok, of Frazer Township, Rita Skok, of California and daughter, Anita; grandchildren, Angela V. Sosnick and William T. (Sierra) Naylor; brother, Frank Reczynski, of Creighton; sisters, Cynthia Kreminski, of New Jersey and Eleanor 'Babe' Hujo, of Natrona; as well as many other family members and friends who's lives she touched. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Skok, on March 7, 2005; and by her daughters, Kristen Sosnick and Paula Skok.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in Holy Martyrs Church. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
