Robert A. Samuels

Robert A. Samuels, 58, of Monroeville, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 with his wife Barbara at his side. He lived the majority of his life in the Allegheny Valley. Robert was a 1977 graduate of Highlands High School and was best remembered for his athleticism. He played midget football with the Highlands Hornets organization, high school football with the Highlands Golden Rams and college football with the University of Delaware Fighting Blue Hens. Robert was a lead carpenter by trade. His greatest passion and lifetime hobby was fishing. Robert is survived by his wife, Barbara (Romanick) Samuels; brother, Reuben 'Bummie'; and sisters, Deborah, Willie Sue, Donna Mae and Sola 'Lucretia'. He is also survived by his niece, Reina Martin, whom he loved like a daughter and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben James Samuels and Ethel Kemp Samuels, and his three brothers.
Services are private with burial to follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Arrangements are under the care of the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., Natrona Heights.
