Robert L. McPheron, 89, of Natrona Heights, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at his home. He was born December 25, 1928 in Collier Township to the late Laura Carroll McPheron. Robert served his country as a Medic in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from Braeburn Steel where he worked as a quality control metallurgist. He enjoyed gardening, watching sports on TV and loved his cats. Robert is survived by his children, Jon (Kim) McPheron, of Butler and Nancy (Pat) Robertson, of Natrona Heights; granddaughters, Shannon (Dave) Stubenbort, Correy (Justin) Dandoy and Morgan Robertson; great grandchildren, Brayden Mell, Arlo Stubenbort, Conor Stubenbort and Cecilia Dandoy; brothers, Tim (Sue) McPheron, of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Jim McPheron, of Greensburg; and by his sister, Patsy Pontremoli, of Parma Heights, Ohio. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita M. Cervenak McPheron on March 2, 2015; brothers, Bill, Paul, Ron, Don and Dale McPheron; and by his sister, Mildred McPheron.
Services and burial for Robert were private. Arrangements are under the care of the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688.
