Rose M. Bologna

Rose M. "Tooie" (Querio) Bologna, 89, formerly of Buffalo Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. She was born October 30, 1932, in Allegheny Township to the late John and Marie A. (Rush) Querio. Rose was a 1950 graduate of Leechburg High School and a 1953 graduate of the Allegheny Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing education from the University of Pittsburgh and attended I.U.P. for her graduate work. Rose worked as a nursing instructor for several years at Allegheny Valley Hospital. She was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights where she was a parish council member and taught C.C.D. for almost 30 years. Rose was also a member of the Community Service Club and the Herbal Thymes. Rose also did volunteer work for the Hope Center. She enjoyed gardening, playing the guitar and taking care of her grandchildren. Rose is survived by her daughter, Christa Lynn Scaife, of Kittanning; grandchildren, John (Erica) Bologna, Jason Bologna (Courtney Waters), Jamie (Blake) Pavlik, Alexa (Sam) Long and R.J. Scaife; great-grandchildren, Mason Bologna and Molly Pavlik; daughter-in-law, Judy Bologna, of Buffalo Township; sister, Joni (Tom) Kovac, of Buffalo Township and by her nephew, Craig (Denise) Kovac and family, of Buffalo Township. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Bologna on May 5, 2017; son, John J. Bologna and by her infant sister.

There will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 12 Noon in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Aaron J. Kriss as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
