Rose Marie (Stonevice) Tomsik, 65, of Natrona Heights, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh surrounded by her family. She was born May 15, 1952, in New Kensington to the late Joseph and Mary Ochkay Stonevice. Rose was a 1970 graduate of Kiski Area High School. She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights. Rose enjoyed reading mysteries, gardening, watching soap operas, her dog, 'Duchess', and adored her great nephews, Brian and Jude. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, George W. Tomsik; daughter, Tami (Richard) Samaj, of Natrona Heights; sisters, Phyllis Cooper and Carol 'GiGi' Stonevice, both of Vandergrift; brother-in-law, David A. (Ladda Arakputhanun 'Da') Tomsik, of Thailand; sisters-in-law, Margaret (Walter Schmitz) Tomsik, of Florida and Elizabeth (Robert) Carroll, of Natrona Heights; great aunt, Pauline Dudzik, of Allegheny Township; nieces, Jill Anne Baumgartner, Sarah Cooper, Elizabeth Tomsik and Jennifer Carroll; nephew, Bryan Carroll; and by her great nephews, Brian and Jude.. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Ann Tomsik on March 4, 2014.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Friday at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Aaron Kriss as celebrant. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
