Natrona Heights

Sharon Lee Ellis, 75, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh.  She was born May 7, 1949, in Natrona Heights to the late Edwyn E. and Rose (Coriale) Ellis.  Sharon was a 1967 graduate of Har-Brack High School and later received her Bachelor's degree in Art and Education from Westminster College.  Sharon showed promise in art talent at an early age.  In high school she was a lead in the senior class play, headed the prom decorating committee, and was editor of the year book.  Throughout her extensive career she was involved in many different areas, including teaching, paralegal work, tour guide on a cross country train system, art galleries, photojournalism, and major companies.  Sharon traveled and lived throughout the United States and Italy.  Given her Italian background, she studied the Italian language and learned how to speak it well.  She returned to Natrona Heights to take care of her father until his passing.  Sharon's love of art is reflected in her many paintings, photos, and crafts.  She continued to learn about many aspects of art by attending classes in many cities.  Her knowledge of art was extensive and she was always pursuing new interests.  Sharon made friends everywhere she went.  She will be missed by family and her many friends.  Her  family would like to give a special thank you to her devoted friends, Gary George and Kerry Kelty. Sharon is survived by her brother, Mark E. Ellis, of Pittsburgh, and by her cousins, David Coriale, Carol Crow, Thomas Coriale, Janet Ritchie, Michael Coriale, Donna Holtzman, Gary Coriale and Alfred Coriale Jr.  Services for Sharon were private.  Arrangements are under the care of the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., Natrona Heights 724-22-48688.  To send an online condolence please visit www.cicholski-zidekfh.com.
