Sharon L. (Walker) Glath, 63, of Buffalo Township, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born June 11, 1954, in Susquehanna to Juanita Simcox, of Freeport and the late Charles Walker. Sharon worked as a Registered Nurse before retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C.Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights and the Herbal Thymes Club, of Sarver. Sharon enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Sharon is survived by her three sons, James M. (Rachel) Glath III, of Sarver, Brian (Mary Beth) Glath, of Export and Michael Glath, of Oakmont; grandsons, Andrew, Noah and Nicholas Glath; brother-in-law, Thomas (Ronita) Glath, of Natrona Heights; and by her two nieces and nephew. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Glath Jr. on March 17, 2004.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Aaron Kriss as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Sharon may be made to the Herbal Thymes Club, 107 Bison Court, Freeport, Pa. 16229 or to Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, 1526 Union Avenue, Natrona Heights, Pa. 15065.
