Sylvia E. Garzotto

Sylvia E. (Dietz) Garzotto, 87, of Brackenridge, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022, in UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born January 16, 1935, in West Natrona to the late John and Rose (Antkoviak) Dietz. Sylvia was a 1952 graduate of Har-Brack High School and received her B.S. degree in English with a minor in French from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She retired after many years as an English teacher from Highlands High School. Sylvia was active in the New Kensington Civic Theater where she acted in and directed plays. She enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles. Sylvia is survived by her son, Victor Garzotto, of Cheswick; brother, John Dietz, of Cabot; and by her sister, Lorraine Vidra, of Springdale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Garzotto, in 1969 and by her son, Andrew V. Garzotto, in 2016.

Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Burial will be in Mt.
