Sylvia J. (Myers) Nowikowski

Sylvia J. (Myers) Nowikowski, 69, of Natrona Heights, was lifted to heaven by angels on Friday September 21, 2018. She was born November 26, 1948, in Natrona Heights to the late Chester and Betty Ann Baczynski Szymkowiak. Sylvia was a 1966 graduate of Har-Brack High School. She retired after 30 years of service from the Cardiology Department at Allegheny Valley Hospital. Sylvia was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Parish in Natrona. She enjoyed spending time at her camp, going on cruises with her husband, her bus trips to the casinos with her buddies, her dog, 'Lucy' and was known for keeping everything spotless. Sylvia is survived by her husband of 30 years, Edmund R. Nowikowski; children, Jennifer (Dante) Moretti of Sarver and Christopher (Richelle) Kelly, of Natrona Heights; grandchildren, Samantha, Madison and Tyler Moretti and Tristian and Cruz Kelly; and by her brothers, Fred (Sandra) Myers, of Natrona Heights and Jerry (Darlene) Szymkowiak, of Allegheny Township.

There will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 AM in St. Ladislaus Church, Natrona with her pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Freeport.
