Thelma R. Medley

Thelma R. (Rogers) Medley, 74, of Lower Burrell, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at her daughter's home in Murrysville. She was born Sept. 16, 1941, in Natrona, a daughter of the late Clarence and Thelma Metzler Rogers. Thelma worked as a Technical Support Manager for J.C. Penny in Indiana Township. She was a member of Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church in Murrysville, the Gulf Shore Mustang Club, the Daytona Mustang Club and the Greater Pittsburgh Mustang Club. Thelma enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her Ford Mustang. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jack R. Medley; her daughters, Jackie (Frank) Brunner, of New Kensington, and Karen (Joseph) Johnston, of Murrysville; three grandchildren, Tyler Miller, Jacob Miller and Melissa Anderson; and by her sister, Leah Kreitzer, of Lower Burrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Robert Medley, on Dec. 21, 1991; and by her sister, Florence Sprumont.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688. Mass of Christian Burial will held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Mother of Sorrows Church with her pastor the Rev. Msgr. James Gaston as celebrant. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
