Virginia Ann "Jean" (Hlavenka) Caldwell, 74, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 25, 2021 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born November 23, 1946, in Harrison Township to the late Jack and Veronica (Bednar) Hlavenka. Jean was a 1964 graduate of Tarentum High School and the Citizens General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a LPN for local hospital's for many years and also worked as a medic at Citizens Volunteer Hose Company for 20 years. Jean served as a Girl Scout leader for Troop 738 and Brownie Troop 1383. She enjoyed cooking and camping at Pymatuning campground and was a volunteer cook for the Harrison Township Meals-on-Wheels. Jean is survived by her husband of 54 years, John C. Caldwell and by her children, David A. Caldwell, of Bridgeport, West Virginia and Lorin J. Caldwell, of Brunswick, Georgia. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her brothers, Stephen and Jack Hlavenka.
