Virginia E. (Frantz) Barch, 87, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on Saturday, August 7, 2021. She was born July 3, 1934, in Natrona Heights to the late Frank S. and Pauline (Doverspike) Frantz. Virginia was a 1953 graduate of St. Joseph High School. She lived in Brackenridge until moving to Natrona Heights in 1961. Virginia was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church of Guardian Angels Parish in Natrona Heights, the Ladies Guild of the church and the church choir where she sang alto. She will be remembered on North Meadow Street by all the kids for her home made pizza treats and as a very fair person to all who knew her. Virginia enjoyed cooking and was know for her Thanksgiving tradition of making pumpkin pie in her roaster lid. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Carl E. Barch; her children, Janet (Kevin) Costello, of Florida, Carl A. (Edith) Barch, of Brackenridge, Mark W. Barch, of Natrona Heights, Craig (Barbara) Barch, of Natrona Heights, Marian (Richard) Mosovsky, of Tarentum, Diane (Michael) Feroce, of Lower Burrell, Daniel P. (Heather) Barch, of Natrona Heights, Ann Casale (Jason Koski), of Brackenridge and Charles T. (Michelle) Barch, of Canonsburg; 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and by her brother, Leslie (Wendy) Frantz, of West Deer. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Frank, Paul, James and Donald Frantz and by her sisters, Margaret Schrecengost, Mary DeWitt, Cecelia Palun and Bernadette Frantz.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m in Most Blessed Sacrament Church of Guardian Angels Parish. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Virginia may be made to the Salvation Army, 917 Brackenridge Avenue, Brackenridge, Pa. 15014 or to the AHN Hospice 4818 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15224. to send an online condolence please visit www.cicholski-zidekfh.com.
