Virginia P. (Pohan) Burin, 97, of Natrona Heights , passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot. She was born November 29, 1919, in Creighton to the late George and Mary Loya Pohan. Virginia worked as a department manager for many years at the former Horne's Department Store in Natrona Heights. She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights. Virginia enjoyed crocheting, needlework and crafting. She is survived by her sister, Mary P. Dolfi, of New Kensington and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Burin on November 18, 2001; her daughter, Sylvia M. Weigold on November 23, 2014; and by her brothers, Andy Pohan, Michael Pochan and Paul Pochan.
Friends will be received on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of a blessing service at 10:30 AM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St. Natrona Heights 824-224-8688. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Aaron Kriss as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
