Walter A. Jonczak III, 63, of Tarentum, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at his home. He was born August 18, 1952, in Natrona Heights, a son of the late Walter A. and Delores B. George Jonczak Jr. Walter worked at Pennex in Oakmont for 18 years and recently retired from the Pittsburgh Mills Mall where he worked in the nighttime maintenance department. He was of the Catholic faith. Walter was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was a member of American Legion Post 868 in Lower Burrell, Outdoor Life Lodge in Fawn Township and was a former member and officer at the Arnold American Legion. Walt was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He is survived by his daughter, Renee Jonczak, of New Kensington; brother, James Jonczak, of Tarentum; and by his sister, Linda L. Jonczak, of Brackenridge;
Friends will be received on Sunday from 5-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Monday at 10 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Thomas Gillespie M.D. Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
